Description  

Overnight to Balloon Hut (1 serviced hut ticket) from the Cobb road via Asbestos Cottage - a fantastic and interesting slice of history in that area. Intention is to do a loop this weekend via the Bullock Track and Ridge Track above the Cobb Reservoir to Lake Peel one day, and returning via Salisbury Lodge and Upper & Lower Junctions the other, the order of which to be determined nearer the time depending on weather and ability of the group.  If there is snow about, crampons may need to be carried to safely traverse above Deep Creek if any hard snow or ice is present. Nothing particularly difficult, and not a huge amount of climbing but involves walking about 20km a day.
